During the broadcast of a private news channel’s current affairs show, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan got into a fight with PPP politician Qadir Mandokhel.
Brief video footage of CM’s aide and Pakistan People’s Party MNA Qadir Khan Mandokhail, in which the two politicians are seen cursing each other in addition to physical fighting, has gone viral.

According to local media reports, a PPP politician accused the previous Information Minister of corruption, resulting in a verbal brawl.
Following the incident, Awan rushed to her official Twitter account to say that Mandokhel had used improper language, which had irritated her, and that the video only told one side of the situation. Awan pleaded with the mainstream media to release the entire video.

She said that Mandokhel threatened her in a video shared on her official account. My late father was humiliated by a PPP leader. She said, “I had to take an extreme measure in my defence.”
Awan also intimated that he might file a formal complaint against the PPP leader.
Meanwhile, the PPP MNA has yet to issue a comment in response to the event.
