MPA Tariq Masih, a member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), wore a necklace made of potatoes and other vegetables around his neck as he rode his bicycle to the Punjab Assembly to attend the session on Wednesday.
MPA Tariq Masih stated that he will continue to ride his bicycle to the assembly to protest the present surge in inflation.
On Wednesday, demonstrations took place both inside and outside the Punjab Assembly, with opposition MPAs bringing banners to the meeting and then walking out after screaming pro-Hamza Shahbaz and anti-government chants.
Female MPAs stomped on empty clay pots while shouting slogans to capture their outrage.
While speaking to the demonstrators, Hamza stated that the country can no longer accept “Imran Niazi’s falsehoods,” and that the public would reveal them their truth.
Meanwhile, Punjab Prisons Minister Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan and PML-N MP Uzma Zahid Bukhari squabbled about the cost of their costumes.
Chohan claimed to be dressed in a Rs2,000 attire, while Uzma claimed to be dressed in a Rs4,500 costume.
